Independence notice
Cumhuriyet Atlas is an independent project and is not affiliated with Cumhuriyet newspaper or cumhuriyet.com.tr.
Our mission
We give people making decisions about Türkiye calm, useful and sourced guides whose freshness is visible.
How we work
Webz Fusion publishes this collection using AI-assisted research, writing and translation alongside source checks and technical tests. Automated or separate-model checks are not a guarantee of accuracy or a substitute for first-hand reporting. We identify original archive media, commissioned illustrations and reference sources. Directory links are not endorsements; route and budget suggestions are editorial estimates. Corrections can be sent through the contact details below.
Commercial transparency
Commercial relationships cannot buy editorial decisions. Commissioned links and sponsored content are clearly labelled, and advertising or measurement stays off until its approval, consent and eligibility gates pass.
An atlas organised around the Republic
Cumhuriyet Atlas connects the history of the Turkish Republic with the places, people and cultural practices that shape Türkiye today. Its historical spine follows the National Struggle, the founding of the Republic, Atatürk’s reforms and later political and social change. Geography is not a separate backdrop: a battlefield, factory town, concert hall or sporting institution can help explain how a national story became part of everyday life.
This is an independent reference and travel publication operated by Webz Fusion in Singapore. It is not the official website of a state institution, museum, federation or news organisation, and it does not claim affiliation with the Cumhuriyet newspaper. The atlas is a curated, expanding collection, not a promise that every person, town or historical interpretation has already been included.
What a reader should get from a page
A historical dossier should explain causes, sequence and consequences, not merely commemorate an anniversary. A biography should place achievements alongside training, craft, institutions and the period in which the person worked. A destination guide should help readers distinguish possible routes and understand the landscape, rather than reproduce a list of attractions. Timelines, question-and-answer sections and related reading are intended to make those connections easier to explore.
The trip planner uses prices entered by the visitor. Its calculations are planning aids, not live fares, bookable offers or exchange-rate quotations. A place being listed does not certify its opening hours, accessibility or current condition. Check operating notices, transport and any access arrangements before travelling; an old photograph cannot establish what a visitor will find today.
Research, translation and corrections
Sources are shown with the relevant dossier so readers can distinguish an official record from interpretation. Dates of awards and competitions are tied to the event, not the upload date of a retrospective video. When reliable records differ, uncertainty should be explained rather than resolved by inventing a precise number or date. Turkish and English editions aim to convey the same meaning naturally; translations of historical documents should not be mistaken for their original wording.
AI tools assist research organisation, drafting and translation. Their use does not make a claim of personal travel, eyewitness reporting, interviews with a subject or independent legal certification. To request a correction, send the page URL, the disputed statement and a checkable source to the contact below. Personal allegations require particular care; prominence or controversy alone is not evidence of wrongdoing.
Images, video and financial independence
Archive photographs and licensed contemporary images carry a credit and rights information. A contextual venue, instrument or monument is identified as such and must not be presented as an undocumented portrait or personal possession. Official public video links provide additional viewing; their publishers retain their rights. A link is not permission to download or republish the recording. Rights holders can use the copyright and removal procedure to identify a specific work and their claim.
Advertising may support the cost of publishing, but an advertisement is not an editorial recommendation and cannot be bought as historical evidence. Google decides ad availability and approval; visiting this site is not an invitation to click advertising to support it. Privacy and cookie controls describe applicable choices, and the legal pages explain the operator, contact channels and terms of use. Commercial arrangements should be disclosed where they affect a particular recommendation.
