Method open to readers
Cumhuriyet Atlas checks sources, dates, rights, accessibility and technical integrity before publication. If evidence is missing, the content does not go live.
Four foundations
Verifiable claims connect to a source record; publisher and access date are not hidden from the reader.
Fast-changing information receives shorter review intervals. A version with inadequate dates or sourcing is not opened to search.
Ownership or licence, production record, alternative text and technical renditions are checked together.
Sponsors, advertising or commission relationships cannot buy ranking; when present, they are disclosed to readers.
Publication flow
Automation improves speed; it does not lower the evidence threshold. A failed required check stops publication.
Source URLs, publisher, access date and claim scope are captured as structured records.
Source health, consistency, originality and, when required, independent model assessments are checked.
Media rights, accessibility, links, metadata and page integrity are tested.
Only a version that passes every mandatory gate goes live; source failures or freshness risks trigger a new review.
First-party source shelf
For directory and collection scope, the responsible public institution or official international register is preferred whenever possible.
AI and media
AI may assist with drafting, translation, structure and original illustration. Factual claims still require sources. Generated visuals are labelled conceptual; prompts, checksums and rights decisions remain in the record.
Corrections
Material changes trigger a fresh source and currency review. Official correction and contact channels are published on the legal and editorial information page.
