Advertising and Google Services Notice
Effective 15 September 2026
At a glance
Google AdSense disclosures, consent rules, ad labelling, ads.txt and reader controls.
1. Current status
Advertising delivery on Cumhuriyet Atlas remains off until legal operator details, effective policies, certified consent management, provider/site approval, a real publisher identity, ads.txt and a sufficient content portfolio are all verified together. No single configuration value can start ads.
2. If Google AdSense is enabled
Google and third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits or page context. Google advertising cookies can support ad delivery and measurement, frequency control, performance reporting, fraud prevention and, where permitted, personalisation. Data collection, sharing and use caused by Google products can include cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers.
3. Consent and regional messages
Before ads are served in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework is used. Legally required consent is obtained in advance for storing/reading information on a device and for ad personalisation; parties and purposes are disclosed; a record is retained; and withdrawal is available. Applicable US states receive required notices and opt-out controls for targeted advertising, sale or sharing.
4. Your choices
- Use Privacy preferences in the footer to change optional permissions.
- Manage Google personalisation through Google Ad Settings.
- After any third-party networks are activated, each network and its opt-out link are listed here.
- Refusing permission does not block core content; non-personalised ads, where used, can still be subject to consent and privacy signals.
5. ads.txt and publisher identity
The root /ads.txt is generated only after the real Google-issued 16-digit pub- publisher ID is configured. Its row identifies the authorised direct seller and Google certification-authority ID. No placeholder identity is published. Readiness remains incomplete until Google’s external crawl/verification status is recorded.
Google advertising can be based on prior visits to this site or other sites on the Internet. Manage personalisation in Google My Ad Center, or use the Digital Advertising Alliance choices for participating networks. The scope of these controls varies by region, browser and provider.
6. Placement and safety
Ads are clearly separated from content and labelled “Advertisement”. Ad density is limited according to original content depth and safe section breaks: fewer placements on short pages and a controlled number on longer dossiers. Ads do not interrupt or cover document text, photographs, video players or navigation. These internal placement limits are not a Google approval guarantee or a fixed Google ad quota. Legal documents, search results, tools, sensitive subjects and thin content are ad-free. Deceptive clicks, overlays that obscure content and ads resembling navigation are not used.
7. Prohibited and sensitive use
Sensitive personal information is not sent to advertising tags. Child profiling, monetisation of prohibited content, incentivised/invalid clicks and attempts to evade provider policies are not accepted. Suspected invalid traffic or a policy event can disable advertising automatically.
8. Measurement and third parties
Each active provider, purpose and link is listed here. Read how Google uses data from partner sites, the AdSense required privacy disclosures, and Google’s certified CMP requirement for European ad delivery.
9. Changes and contact
A new network, purpose or personalisation method is added to this notice and consent interface before its code runs. To complain about a specific ad, send the page URL, time, screenshot and, if available, “About this ad” information to the legal contact shown on this page.
