2014 event archive The original content and images are preserved. Participation and registration instructions refer to the past event, not an upcoming invitation.
How can you take part?
To volunteer and be part of the photograph that will make history, you must register at the desks opening on Lion Road at 10:30 on 26 August.
Remember: the event will take place with the first 6,000 people who are there and register that day. Advance registration or reservations will not be available.
Once you have registered, your arm will be stamped with the #anıtkabirdeyiz seal and you will be directed towards the entrance gates.
There will be one entrance to the event area. Announcements at the site will tell you when to make your way in. When you join the entrance queue, you will receive a numbered ticket showing the section and position where you must stand. A steward assigned to that section will help you find your place.
Once all participants are in position, you will remain still for approximately 30 minutes and become part of this unique image.
The portrait created by 6,000 people coming together at Anıtkabir will be captured in aerial photographs.
Video documentaries covering the preparations, the events of the shoot day and the final result will also preserve the occasion for posterity.
