Kadıköy Municipality’s artist introduction dates Yeni Türkü’s formation to Ankara in 1977 and describes connections among folk, rock and Mediterranean music. This provides a historical starting point, not a claim that every song belongs to one uniform genre. The continuity of a group name should not be reduced to a single individual’s biography.

Membership, guest appearance, composition and performance are distinct roles in a band history. Album credits help separate them.
